What Others Are Saying

I had such a wonderful cruise today! The weather was perfect, the boat was fast and thrilling…the water was spraying up and into the open window. I was laughing out of the sheer joy of it all. The crew were incredible, the captain narrated so knowledgeably and humorously. He would circle and approach the beautiful formations from both sides so the passengers had an equally great experience. It was truly the very best cruise I have ever had and I definitely would go again and highly recommend others to go!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I Bring?

Since the weather on Lake Superior is on average 10-15 degrees lower than on land, bring layers of clothing to ensure a pleasant trip. You are also welcome to bring small coolers with food and beverages (though beverages and snacks are available for purchase onboard). Of course, don’t forget your camera!

Grand Tour vs. Lighthouse Tour?

If you’ve never seen the Apostle Islands, then the Grand Tour is the way to go. Its popularity stems from its visit to Devils Island, home to some of the most breathtaking rock formations and sea caves that honeycomb its northern shore.

Although you can get off and visit historic buildings, the lighthouse tours don’t go near the truly iconic sights, such as the sea caves, multicolored cliffs, and arches.

When Should I Arrive? And Where?

The tour starts in Bayfield, Wisconsin at 2 Front St, Bayfield, WI 54814.

Parking is offered on all streets, with the majority providing free daily parking. However, parking on Rittenhouse Avenue and Front Street is limited to two hours, and the Grand Tour is 2 and half to 3 hours long, so this is not recommended.

Seating on all cruises is on first-come, first-served basis. If you have a preference, we recommend arriving 45 minutes to an hour before departure time to be near the front of the line while boarding.
