Sand Island Lighthouse Tour

Approximate cruise length: 6.45 hours

Experience a pass of the Sand Island Lighthouse before docking at 10:00 a.m. Once on Sand Island, guests can enjoy a 2-mile hiking trail connecting the dock and East Bay with the Sand Island lighthouse, passing through Justice Bay, while offering views of the Swallow Point Sea Caves. Reservations, Refunds & Seating?

Reservations are highly recommended! We’re anticipating a busy 2026 season.
When purchasing tickets for our regularly scheduled cruises, you may transfer your reservation or receive a full refund up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
If we cancel a cruise due to weather, you’ll have the same options.
Please note that all seating is first-come, first-served on every cruise.

Is the boat handicap accessible?

The Apostle Islands Cruises team is committed to assisting guests with special needs or specific requirements. The lower decks on both the Superior Princess and Archipelago are handicap accessible.

Please note: Access to the upper decks is by stairs only.

Can we bring our pets?

For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted on board any Apostle Islands Cruises vessels.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are welcome.
Please note that emotional support animals and therapy animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and are not permitted on board.

What should/can we bring?

Temperatures on the lake are typically 10–15 degrees cooler than on shore, so we recommend bringing an extra layer to stay comfortable during your cruise.

We offer a selection of beverages for purchase on board. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drinksin a small personal cooler.
Alcoholic beverages are allowed—we simply ask that you enjoy them responsibly and help us maintain a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone on board.
