for all our cruises. Our most popular cruise is the GRAND
TOUR, a 3 1/4 hour narrated cruise which winds its way among
the islands, past historic sandstone quarries, fish camps,
Lake Superior shipwrecks, and the historic Raspberry and
Devils Island lighthouses. Our narratives appeal to
passengers, and we can guarantee they will remember our area
with a pleasant appreciation of the historical perspective on
a cruise on Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the
world!
Our ISLANDER LIGHTHOUSE CRUISE is a 2 hour 10
minute non-stop cruise offering an unusual variety of
attractive features: It sails past Basswood, Hermit, Madeline,
Stockton and Oak Islands on its way to view the Raspberry
Island Lighthouse. Narratives will relate how sandstone
quarries provided brownstone for buildings from the Midwest to
our nation's eastern seaboard during boom times of the 19th
century. On Hermit Island you will see the Excelsior Quarry,
hear about its owner, and see a gull rookery along the rocky
cliffs. At Raspberry Island you'll see the renovated
lighthouse, now called "The Showplace of the Apostles."

ABOUT OUR CRUISE
BOATS ISLAND PRINCESS is a 70', 149 passenger vessel with a
quality public address system and handicap
facilities.
ASHLAND BAY EXPRESS is a 49', 80 passenger
vessel.
*Both boats have two decks, a lower deck, enclosed
with large viewing windows, and an upper deck that is open to
the sky. On board snack bar and restrooms. Catering is
available.
